Rheumatology
Rheumatology covers all systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases (SARD) that target multiple tissues and/or organs, causing inflammation resulting in rashes, pain, discomfort and even death.
The major targets of SARDs are, for instance, connective tissue, joints, muscles and blood vessels. After a first screen for antinuclear antibodies, ANA-LIA, ANA-LIA XL and quantitative ELISAs provide a basis to identify the specific SARD.
